Marymount College Provides Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber $6,000 Sponsorship for Educational Programs

Marymount College President Dr. Michael Brophy announced that the college will provide a $6,000 sponsorship to the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.

“Our community’s Chamber of Commerce is a vital asset and offers many valuable programs that contribute to the revitalization of commerce in our community, says Dr. Brophy.  “This sponsorship from Marymount College’s is directed to educational programming for both Chamber members and the local community.”

For several years, the college has led and co-sponsored educational seminars and related events tailored to business and non-profit professionals.  The next seminar will be on Tuesday, April 26 at 8 a.m. at The Promenade on the Peninsula Community Room and features non-profit professional Janet Levine who will speak about Step-by-Step Stewardship.

“A thriving business community in Palos Verdes is essential to the well-being of those who live on the Peninsula, says Dr. Brophy.  “We feel this sponsorship demonstrates our desire to foster success among those who work and own businesses here.”
