Marymount announces additional athletic teams!


Athletic Director Gary White has announced that Marymount College will start women’s and men’s Cross Country in the fall of 2012 and is making plans to start Tennis and Track & Field in the near future.
It is an exciting time at Marymount and the new opportunities for all student-athletes states Gary White. Recruiting is currently underway for the new athletic programs. The growth of the athletic department is an opportunity for all students to get involved if they choose.  If you would like more information please contact the Admissions Office or Athletic Director Gary White.

Marymount College Presents Duo Fado Concert

At 6 p.m. on Monday, October 24, at the Chapel at Marymount College, the college presents Duo Fado Concert, featuring Marymount professor Melinda Becker and Thomas Walsh. Their eclectic program features works by Elizabethan composer John Dowland, a solo guitar work by J.S. Bach, Spanish renaissance songs by Luis Milan, and modern compositions set to ancient Sephardic melodies. Concert is free. Nikki Noushkam visits Marymount Business Students

Nikki Noushkam  Co-founder of the Environmental Remediation Service, Inc. (ERS)  spoke with the Marymount Business 301(SP) class on Friday September 30th at the Waterfront Campus in San Pedro. It was a great honor to have Ms. Noushkam as a guest speaker. The learning experience was priceless.
Nikki Noushkam Bio:

Nikki Noushkam is an engineer and a scientist with background in the energy, green technology and aerospace industries. In 2007, she co-founded and the Environmental Remediation Service, Inc. (ERS) an environmental consulting firm that specializes in environmental compliance and green technology projects. Nikki holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California (USC). She is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and a Registered Environmental Assessor (REA) in the State of California.

Marymount sees bigger as better - The Daily Breeze


Every few months for the past couple of years, Marymount College has unveiled a surprising new aspect of its changing expansion plans. Last week, that pattern continued.


There was a shocker in mid-2009 when the private Rancho Palos Verdes Catholic college said it would not seek to build long-desired but controversial dormitories on its 25-acre, ocean-view campus.


Then, a few months later, just as it was undergoing a contentious city review of proposed new facilities, the then two-year institution said it planned to become a full-fledged four-year college. read full article
